AKC Purebred Red & Apricot

Miniature Poodles

Our Miniature red and apricot poodles are darlings! We often get asked if they are doodles because people are so used to meeting "doodle breeds". Poodles are so consistently beautiful, and wonderful dogs! We love ours, and recommend them for anyone. They are loyal, obedient, never stubborn, just sweet, and always want to be part of the family. Registered with the American Kennel Club, our purebred miniature poodles are also embark tested for genetic health excellence. They have been raised from puppies to parents in our home with our family, and under the guidance of our expert Vet team, so they are truly the best mommies and daddies, as their temperaments are amazing. They're obedient, playful, kind, and incredibly loyal. Plus, they don't shed and are sweet to love on. Have I mentioned how incredibly smart and cool they are? There is a reason so many doodles exist, poodles are amazing. They love everyone, and we know you'll love them, too

We have available puppies!

Why we love our poodles

Have you ever read the classic, Where The Red Fern Grows? While we know Old Dan and Little Ann weren't poodles, we feel the same affection for ours that Billy felt. Our red poodles are beloved members of our family. They are beautiful, playful, and the smartest dogs we own. We absolutely enjoy them because of their high intelligence, and loyal spirits. We think you will too! We have litters of smaller mini poodles (the 10lb range) up to medium size (16lb range).

Poodle Information

  • Our miniature poodles range from 10-20lbs in size, grown, depending on which litter.

  • Because we raise our poodles as family friends, we do not dock tails or remove dew claws. (Please contact us for more information about this.)

  • Our darlings have a beautiful, curly coat, and enjoy all types of hair cuts, which can easily change their "look".

  • Miniature poodles don't shed.

  • They have lots of "fun energy" as I call it. Our poodles have never destroyed a thing in our home, we just keep toys on hand for fetch or chewing, and we take them on a half hour walk once a day. Our poodles are free to play with our kids as much or as little as they want.

  • Have I mentioned how incredibly smart they are? We have been able to train ours within minutes (truly!) to master a recall command, and other important basics. This makes them a delight to be around. Our poodles have learned the ways of our home and have made excellent family members for us.

Meet Our Dogs

Our goal is to breed for a standard of excellence. Our dogs temperaments are so important to us, which is why they crate in our home with our kids. And their genetic traits are investigated and purposeful. Below are some of our sweet moms.

Tail Docking & Dewclaws

Our family embraces our poodles the way they are born. Did you know that there is no reason to practice tail docking or dewclaw removal? In fact, removing your dog's thumb or cutting off its tail can actually be detrimental for your pup?

Tail-docking is banned in 36 countries as cruel and, while allowed in the US, is quite controversial. The American Veterinary Medical Association opposes tail docking (and ear cropping – not an issue with poodles thankfully) for cosmetic reasons.

In 2008, the AVMA passed the following policy: “The AVMA opposes ear cropping and tail docking of dogs when done solely for cosmetic purposes. The AVMA encourages the elimination of ear cropping and tail docking from breed standards.”   They further state: “The only benefit that appears to be derived from cosmetic tail docking of dogs is the owner’s impression of a pleasing appearance. In the opinion of the AVMA, this is insufficient justification for performing a surgical procedure.”

Because our dogs are bred to be wonderful, well-adjusted, healthy pets, it is our conviction that we follow suit with AVMA and the many people who have chosen the natural route. We believe that both of these removal practices will gradually fade out of style and we consider ourselves grateful to be able to provide dogs that are beautiful as they are.
